A postponed appointment in our ambitions, but a passion intact. Heading for 2027!
Just a few days before the period originally scheduled for The Monster Experience 2026, Poker France Belgique wishes to remind the community of a decision already communicated: this year’s edition will unfortunately not take place.
This festival, which was to run from 23 October to 1 November 2026 in Wevelgem, was a major fixture on our calendar. We know how many of you were looking forward to it and we share your disappointment.
A decision linked to the July events
As you know, on the night of 25 to 26 July, our room in Wevelgem was the scene of a violent assault that deeply affected our team and forced the interruption of the Poker France Belgique Festival.
These events have had significant consequences, both on a human level and for the organisation of our activities. They have forced us to review our priorities and to calmly rethink the future of our projects.
In this context, and as we have already announced, we have made the difficult decision to not continue The Monster Experience in 2026. Organising a festival of this scale requires considerable preparation and conditions that allow us to host players, partners and staff with the attention they deserve.
So this is not a new announcement, but a reminder intended to avoid any confusion as the originally scheduled dates approach.
The room has come back to life, and so has our passion!
Since the reopening of our room at the end of August, the activities of Poker France Belgique have gradually returned to their rhythm. We have been pleased to see our players back at the tables, to share new moments of conviviality and to restart our regular events.
This revival has been made possible by the commitment of our team and the valuable support of our community. However, the continuation of our regular activities does not mean we could, at the same time, organise a festival as large as The Monster Experience.
Our priority remains to rebuild sustainably, without haste, to better prepare the future.
The Monster is not abandoned. We simply want to give it every chance to return under the best conditions, with the ambition and friendliness that have made it successful.
2027: the ambition of an even bigger Monster
The Monster Experience holds a special place in the history of Poker France Belgique. Over the editions, this festival has become much more than a series of tournaments: a time of reunions, meetings and shared passion among players from different backgrounds.
Our aim is clear: to bring back this adventure in 2027 with an even larger and more ambitious edition. We want to take the time to prepare an event worthy of your loyalty and the Monster’s history.
The dates, program and modalities of this next edition will be announced later, once the various elements are definitively settled.
