The specific conditions announced for each tournament, the venue’s internal regulations and the game rules must be read together, subject to applicable law. The text below reproduces the LG Events document from August 2026.
- 4levels of rules, read in order
- TDA 2026Short Form Rules v1.1 as reference
- 22articles of the internal regulations
- 18+site and tournaments reserved for adults
1. Hierarchy of rules
For each tournament, the applicable rules are read in the following order, insofar as they are compatible with the applicable law:
- special conditions announced for the tournament;
- internal order regulation of the venue / organizer;
- tournament rules Poker France Belgique inspired by the TDA 2026 standard ;
- decision of the tournament director when a particular situation is not properly covered by a written text.
2. Adopted TDA Rules
Poker France Belgique intends to use as its main reference the rules of the Tournament Directors Association (TDA). The version chosen as the base document is the 2026 Poker TDA Short Form Rules v1.1, short format, more practical for players and directly focused on “rules”.
The “Longform” version remains useful as support for recommended procedures and illustrations, but it is not the best entry point for a player‑oriented web page.

3. Simplified summary of TDA rules · French version
The summary below does not replace the full document. It highlights the most important principles for tournament play.
General principles
Fairness & floor decisions
The interest of the game and fairness take precedence. In case of an unusual situation, the floor may favor a common-sense decision. Its decision is final.
Player responsibilities
Protected hand & clear action
Each player must protect their hand, follow the action, act on their turn, use clear announcements and report any visible error.
Behavior
Etiquette & respect
Proper behavior is required towards other players and staff. Offensive, discriminatory or disruptive remarks may be sanctioned.
Electronics
Phones & aid tools
No table calls, no device placed on the table, no use of strategic tools, assistance devices or AI during a live hand.
- Presence at the table : to have a live hand, the player must be seated when the last card of the initial deal is dealt.
- Delays / new entries : new players, late regs, re-entries and relocated players can be assigned virtually any seat, except between the small blind and the button.
- Showdown : the cards speak. Verbal announcements of a combination do not replace the actual reading of the cards.
- All-in : when a player is all-in and all action is finished, all affected hands must be turned over immediately.
- Winning hand : a properly set hand cannot be killed if it is clearly winning.
- Showdown order : in the absence of an all‑in, the last aggressive player on the final street shows first.
- New deal / misdeal : after substantial action, a false deal can generally no longer be declared; the hand continues except in special cases.
- Thinking time : every player must act within a reasonable time. The floor may start the “clock”.
- Button / blinds : tournament play uses a dead button; deliberately avoiding a blind can be penalized.
- Paris & raises : non‑standard announcements and gestures are at the player’s risk; a clear announcement prevails.
- Visible chips : stacks must remain visible, ordered and reasonably countable.
- Sanctions : repeated or serious infractions may result in a warning, a dead hand, a penalty in rounds or an exclusion.

5. Internal rules of LG Events
LG Events — Wevelgem · Kortrijkstraat 250, 8560 Wevelgem · Game rules, safety, access and respect for the neighbourhood.
This rule aims to ensure the safety of members and staff, the integrity and smooth running of games, respect for the neighbourhood and a pleasant atmosphere within LG Events. Anyone entering the premises must comply with these rules and the reasonable instructions of the floor manager.
1. Registration and identification
Upon first registration, each member must provide accurate information allowing management of their membership and identification, notably their last name, first name, date of birth and, when necessary for membership management or applicable obligations, their full address. A valid official identity document may be requested to verify identity or age. When a simple visual check suffices, no copy of the document is retained. Anyone voluntarily providing false identity or essential false information may have their registration refused or be excluded from the premises.
2. Identification during visits
At each visit, the member must be able to confirm their identity when reasonably necessary for checking their registration, age or secure access to the premises. LG Events may request presentation of an official identity document. If the required identification cannot be performed, access may be denied. Each member is invited to keep a valid identity document on them so they can present it to the competent authorities when such presentation is legally required.
3. Personal data protection
LG Events processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Belgian legislation. Only adequate, relevant and necessary data for the stated purposes are processed. The data protection notice attached to this rule describes the purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention periods and rights of the data subjects.
4. Languages allowed at the table
For communications related to the game during a hand, the languages allowed at the table are Dutch, French, English and German. This rule applies only to exchanges that may have a link with the course of the game. During a hand it is forbidden to transmit information, comment on strategy or influence a player’s decision. A player still engaged in the hand may not receive any assistance from another player or from an external person during the round. Depending on the circumstances, the Floor may declare a dead hand, give a warning or impose a penalty. Its decision applies immediately to allow the game to continue.
5. Prohibition of influencing a hand
Any voluntary attempt by an external person to induce a player to bet, call, raise, fold, show cards or take any other action is strictly prohibited. A voluntary intervention that could alter the integrity of the hand may result in the immediate exclusion of the person who tried to influence the game.
6. “Pulling the rabbit” – Rabbit hunting
It is forbidden to ask or look at which cards would have been dealt if a hand had been continued. This practice slows the game and may transmit unnecessary information to players. Non‑compliance with this rule results in a warning and may lead to a penalty in case of repeat offence.
7. Folded cards and muck
The dealer collects discarded cards as the game progresses. Folded cards must be placed immediately in the muck. It is forbidden to deliberately keep one’s cards after folding, to retrieve or return cards from the muck, to look at another player’s discarded cards or to deliberately leave identifiable cards to examine later. Any deliberate manipulation intended to obtain information may be considered cheating and may result in a sanction up to immediate exclusion.
8. Phones and electronic devices
Using a phone or any other electronic device is prohibited when a player has an active hand. In particular, checking a message, an app, poker‑related information or making/receiving a call during the hand is not allowed. To make a call, the player must step away from the table to preserve the integrity of the game and the comfort of other players.
9. Respect for players and staff
Each member must respect other players, staff, managers, organizers and visitors. No insult, threat, intimidation, violence, harassment or aggressive behaviour will be tolerated. Depending on the seriousness of the facts, LG Events may impose a temporary or permanent exclusion and, if necessary, contact the police or file a complaint.
10. Fair‑play and good atmosphere
Politeness, respect, fair play and a good atmosphere must prevail. An inadvertent mistake can happen: members are invited to remain calm and pedagogical rather than provoke a confrontation. In case of doubt or dispute, call the floor manager announcing clearly “Floor, table X” or “[Prénom du responsable], table X”. The discussion must cease so that the manager can hear the parties and decide.
11. Access to the venue and security
Upon arrival, each person must ring the bell, present their face normally to the camera, wait for the electric door to open and enter individually. Only one person at a time is allowed to pass the access control. It is forbidden to let another person in by taking advantage of the door opening. The face must remain sufficiently visible for identification purposes.
12. Dress code and bags
LG Events applies a neutral and uniform dress code. Clean and appropriate attire is required. Training/jogging outfits are not accepted. Backpacks are not allowed in the room unless prior permission is granted by the manager. Access may also be denied when clothing or accessories reasonably prevent identification or create a concrete security risk. These rules are applied without distinction based on origin, nationality, gender, religion or any other legally protected criterion.
13. Breaks and exits
During breaks, members are asked to use the space provided in front of the venue rather than gathering on public streets. Gatherings outside the immediate vicinity of the room must be avoided and, when they occur, are limited to three people. Please do not obstruct the sidewalk, keep noise to a minimum and respect the neighbourhood. After any exit, however brief, the member must ring the bell again to re‑enter. It is forbidden to ask an interior person to open the door directly.
14. External door
It is strictly forbidden to block, wedge or deliberately keep the external door open. The access‑control system is an essential security measure. Willful non‑compliance with this rule may result in immediate exclusion. If a violation directly contributes to theft, damage or other harm, LG Events reserves the right to pursue all legally available remedies to establish liability.
15. Tobacco, vaping and butts
Smoking or vaping inside LG Events is prohibited, except in an area expressly authorised by current legislation. Outdoors, tobacco and vaping are only permitted where applicable law allows them. LG Events may impose stricter restrictions for safety, cleanliness or neighbourhood reasons. It is strictly forbidden to discard cigarette butts on the ground. A first offence may result in a warning; a repeat offence may lead to exclusion. From 1 January 2027, the rules will be applied in accordance with new legal bans concerning terraces and related areas, without automatically treating the public sidewalk as a terrace.
16. Food, drinks and waste outside
Consuming drinks or food directly in front of the venue is prohibited. This measure aims to limit gatherings, nuisances and cleanliness issues. In case of takeaway, each person must keep their waste until a proper bin is available. Discarding packaging, cans, bottles, cups, food or emptying vehicle waste near the room is forbidden. Violations on public roads may be sanctioned by authorities. Such behaviour may also result in a warning or exclusion from LG Events. If an identifiable wrongful behaviour directly causes damage or a sanction to LG Events, the organisation reserves all legally available remedies.
17. Video surveillance
LG Events uses a video‑surveillance system to ensure the safety of persons and property and to prevent or document certain incidents. Monitored areas are marked with regulatory pictograms. Footage is accessible only to authorised persons and may, when permitted or required by law, be used to analyse an incident or be communicated to competent authorities. External cameras are set to limit, as far as possible, recording of the public way and neighbouring properties. Retention periods are specified in the attached GDPR notice.
18. Cheating, collusion and fraud
Any form of cheating, fraud or collusion is strictly prohibited. Specifically forbidden are: voluntarily transmitting information about a hand, showing cards to help another player, giving or receiving strategic assistance during a hand, manipulating cards, voluntarily looking at folded cards, deliberately hiding chips, collaborating to disadvantage another player or using electronic assistance during the game. Proven cheating may result in immediate and permanent exclusion, without prejudice to any other legal action available.
19. Sanctions
Depending on the nature, seriousness and recurrence of the facts, non‑compliance with the rules may lead to a warning, a reprimand, a game penalty, the cancellation of a hand when justified, exclusion from the session, a day‑long exclusion, a temporary exclusion or a permanent exclusion. A prior warning is not required for serious misconduct such as violence, serious threats, cheating, fraud, voluntary collusion, theft, intentional damage, identity falsification or willful endangerment of safety. Sanctions are decided by LG Events taking the circumstances into account and are applied non‑discriminatorily.
20. Respect for the neighbourhood
In the immediate surroundings of the venue, each member must respect residents, other businesses, the sidewalk, parking spaces, street cleanliness and neighbourhood quiet. Shouting, noise disturbances, litter, aggressive behaviour or disruptive gatherings may trigger manager intervention and, in case of repeat or serious incidents, exclusion.
21. Modification of the rules
LG Events may adapt these rules when necessary due to changes in legislation, an instruction from a competent authority, a security imperative, an adaptation of game rules or observed operational issues. The applicable version is made available to members.
22. Acceptance of the rules
By signing, the member acknowledges having received or being able to consult the rules and the data‑protection notice, having read them and committing to respect the applicable rules while on the premises. The signature never deprives the member of rights granted by mandatory legal provisions. Later contesting a rule does not exempt the member from complying with the legally applicable access and operating conditions as long as the person wishes to enter LG Events.
